Inline thermoforming sheet scrap size reduction
HSR Inline Sheet Crusher
HSR is a traction-fed sheet crusher designed primarily for inline thermoforming and plastic-sheet production scrap beside the line. It can also process edge trim and plastic sheet already collected into a roll as additional applications. Model selection starts with sheet width.

Customer Case: HSR800V Sheet Crusher in a PP Cup-Making Line
The customer manufactures plastic cups from PP sheet. With a sheet width of approximately 800 mm, this installation uses an HSR800V Inline Sheet Crusher with an 11 kW main motor for inline sheet-scrap size reduction beside the cup-making line.

What the video shows
The footage follows PP sheet scrap from the cup-making line into the HSR800V, through traction feeding and size reduction, and along the visible processed-material return path used in this installation.
PP, approximately 800 mm sheet width, HSR800V, and 11 kW describe this installation. The video does not establish throughput, output size, reuse ratio, final-cup quality, or compatibility with every cup-making line.
HSR application routes
Inline and Rolled Plastic Sheet Applications
HSR is used primarily for inline processing of compatible continuous thermoforming sheet scrap beside the production line. Edge trim can also be fed inline, while plastic sheet already collected into a roll is a secondary application.

Customer Case: HSR400 Inline Edge-Trim Feeding
Customer-site footage shows two strips of film edge trim being drawn from both sides of the production web and fed into an installed HSR400 Inline Sheet Crusher. It documents the inline feeding arrangement used at this customer site.
Selection for another line depends on the actual film material, combined trim width, thickness, and line arrangement.
When sheet scrap is already collected into rolls, factories will often compare a centralized HG crusher, particularly when multiple rolls or other compatible waste forms need to be processed in one area. HSR remains an option when traction feeding and the selected model width suit the rolled sheet.
Some markets use online sheet crusher for the inline machine category and roll-feed sheet crusher for this secondary input form. Hetian keeps HSR Inline Sheet Crusher as the product name, and selection starts from the actual sheet form and width.
How inline stop and restart responds to sheet slack
- 01
The production line creates more sheet and changes the available slack.
- 02
As traction brings the sheet-control arm close to horizontal, HSR pauses.
- 03
As new sheet relaxes the arm again, traction restarts.
This is position-responsive start and stop; it is not presented as continuous speed measurement.

Factory-Tested Application: Rolled Plastic Sheet
Watch an HSR-1000 traction-feed plastic sheet already collected into a roll. The small inset helps identify the rolled-sheet input shown in the factory test.

This factory test documents one rolled-sheet input. It does not establish the polymer, sheet width, thickness, throughput, or output size.
Model and drive selection
Match the HSR to Sheet Width and Upstream Line Speed
HSR selection has two parts: choose the model from the sheet width, then configure the drive for the sheet conditions and the line speed of the upstream production machine, such as a thermoforming or cup-making machine.
- Sheet width
- The sheet width should be close to the selected HSR model's stated width. Hetian confirms the working allowance from the actual sheet and line arrangement.
- Sheet feed speed
- The normal sheet feed speed is 30–50 m/min. It can be preset below this range for a slower upstream line, or configured with a higher-power motor for sheet feed speeds up to 80 m/min.
- Material, thickness and throughput
- Motor selection also considers the material, sheet thickness and required throughput. With material, width and thickness held constant, a higher sheet feed speed increases the amount processed per unit time.
HSR feed speed is preset from the expected output speed of the upstream production machine. For example, when the upstream line runs at approximately 10–15 m/min, HSR may be preset around 15 m/min instead of immediately pulling at 30–50 m/min. This helps avoid pulling the sheet much faster than it is being produced. The sheet-control arm then pauses and restarts the preset feed as slack changes; it supplements the speed setting rather than replacing it.
