Large-batch storage, mixing and drying
HKD Vertical Plastic Mixer Dryer
HKD combines storage, mixing and drying in a vertical vessel for large batches where a slower drying process is acceptable. Choose HK when the job is storage and mixing without drying.

HKD feeding and discharge-outlet handling
See material feeding, the outside of the machine and handling at the discharge outlet. The clips show how the operator accesses the machine during these steps.
These are separate operating excerpts. The collection bag covers the final material stream at the outlet.
A large batch, with time for heating and drying
HKD has a large vessel relative to its installed heating. It suits applications that prioritize drying a large batch at once and can allow a slower process.
Batch preparation
Match the batch quantity and material to the vessel before selecting a model.
Mixing with drying
HKD adds drying to storage and mixing. HK provides storage and mixing without this drying function.
Moisture removal
Moisture is carried away with exhausted hot air during drying.
The 100°C guidance concerns the temperature the material needs for drying. It is not a controller setting range or a guarantee that every batch will reach 100°C.
HK or HKD: does the batch need drying?
Choose the function first, then compare the model specifications. Keep the HK mixing motor and the HKD mixing and electric-heating powers distinct.
| Selection point | HK | HKD |
|---|---|---|
| Main task | Storage and mixing | Storage, mixing and drying |
| Heating for drying | No drying function | Electric heating for batch drying |
| Application discussion | Material and mixing batch | Material, batch, required drying temperature and available cycle time |
HK and HKD have separate model tables. Content is a batch quantity, not kilograms per hour; HKD mixing-motor and electric-heating powers are listed separately.

Questions about HKD batch drying
Can HK also dry material?
HK provides storage and mixing. Choose the HKD series when drying is also required, subject to the material and process assessment.
Does the 100°C guidance mean any lower-temperature material is suitable?
No. The guidance rules out HKD when the required material drying temperature is above 100°C. At lower temperatures, the material, batch and required drying result still determine suitability.
Is HKD recommended for high-temperature PET drying?
HKD is not recommended for a PET drying application requiring a material temperature above 100°C. Discuss the actual PET process with Hetian before selecting another dryer; a different model name alone does not establish suitability.
